Bhajji: I did not slap Sree

posted in Uncategorized |

Harbhajan Singh on Friday found himself embroiled in yet another controversy after allegedly slapping Kings XI paceman S Sreesanth during their Indian Premier League encounter at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali on Friday (April 25).

After the fracas, Bhajji spoke exclusively to TIMES NOW’s correspondent Nidhi Tuli and said that he never slapped the pacer and said that the matter is closed.

Nidhi Tuli: Are you slightly disappointed by whatever happenned in the heat of the moment after the match?

Harbhajan Singh: Whatever you saw on TV didn’t happen. I have not slapped Sreesanth. We have played together for many years and are like brothers. I did push him but we have spoken after that. We will continue playing cricket together.

Nidhi Tuli: Other team is planning to launch a complaint to the match referee. What are your comments?

Harbhajan Singh: I don’t know anything about the complaint. Sreesanth and I are like brothers.

I think simit694 you need to look at the overall record of matches played between Pakistan and India.Pakistan and India have played 113 ODI matches.Pakistan won 66 and lost 43.
Test matches.Pakistan won 12 and lost 9.These stats are current. For your Info they only figure Pakistan and India.Next time just have look at the stats before you jump to conclusions.

very well said my man…I’m glad you didn’t take the action of an individual to represent the actions of a nation or a group of people (sikhs) for that matter….

    Unlike some idiots on here…

Glad to see this guy has been exposed for the liar that he is. He cannot wriggle his way out of this one the same was he did in Australia after his racial slur against Symonds. Must be difficult for the BCCI as well. Their normal bully boy tactics are of no use to them here.
Well done to the IPL for suspending this idiot - his conduct has long been a disgrace to the game.

This guy is a bully and a jerk. No room for people like this in pro cricket. Australia has had assholes too.

Wow…you Pakistanis “slaps” each other many times on and off the ground, huh? You must be very proud of that life-time accomplishment.

FYI, crying is not a sign of weakness. It’s people like you, living in 5 decades in the past, who espouse this pseudo-machoism.

Wake up and get yourself an education, cos all that “slapping around” that you seem to enjoy has obviously limited your ability to string sentences together.

I never thought I’d agree with an Aussie over Bhajji, but I have to say you’re right about his behavior. If this was the NHL, Bhajji would’ve eaten some knuckles from the opposing team.

However, leave the “Sikh” issue out of it, mate. Religion doesn’t belong in this issue, and you might provide fodder for the trolls that are looking exactly for such things to carp on endlessly.
