1. illhaider22: India has got different racial groups.
Mainly Aryans and Dravidans.
So, it be would appreciable if you criticize the culprits who did this than to call the entire nation names.

It’s not shocking to see this incident taking place in Mohali. In most of north India, the prejudice related to skin colour is prevalent. Dark skinned Indians are bullied at all times. So, this incident happening to a black woman is not at all surprising.

It’s good this issue was brought up. Atleast Indians will have a reality check about their practices which are racist and they have been ignorant of it.

I am from India and dark skinned.
I have faced a lot of problems while I did my schooling in New Delhi. I was called crow, gorilla, blackie and more such names. I really hope that the people who bullied me had the same nature as the ones involed here.

Judging a person by his/her skin colour is the same as judjing a book by its cover..

Warlock07,they were hired as a group of dancers - sent out there by their agent. Once they arrived and they saw the colour of their skin, they were then asked to leave. You’re telling me that’s not racist? Their agent didn’t send them to India because they are black, but because they are talented dancers. Even if you think it was down to one person being prejudice, surely that’s still racism…

I really don’t believe the cheer leaders were particularlly asked to sit due to their color. If so why would they hire them in ythe first place. Might have been a misunderstanding or it might have been due to the prejudice of a single person.
Not any race in particular tell that there are no racists among its followers. But I don’t think that is the case here anyway.

I am of Indian origin and i would just like to say i am deeply hurt by the racism the cheerleaders incurred whilst in India. I am appalled by the people who took them aside just because of their skin colour, if they could only take a look at themselves!!! It just goes to show being of 2nd generation asian in the U.K has done me wonders; compared to India, i live in a way better and tolerant society where everyone has a chance to shine.
